Windscreen washers

On the safety question- "show me how you would check if your washers/wipers are working......." what would happen if the motor is broken and no screenwash comes through??

Would an examiner mark a fault or even worse end the test?

I have a motor related issue, booked in to be fixed next Friday. Got tests Monday and Tuesday.

Re: Windscreen washers

The test could be terminated, it is dangerous to drive a vehicle without the ability to clean the windscreen.

If the windscreen is found to be obscured and the driver is unable to use the screenwash they could face 3 penalty points and a £60 fine.

If it was the middle of summer might be worth a punt but if there is grit on the roads then the likelyhood of the washers being needed is higher.
