Part 3 at Gateshead TC

I have a client who will do part 3 at Gateshead.  It's not an area I usually work in, just wondered if anyone who uses it can tell me if there is anything I need to know.  I've had a look on google earth and it looks like it's all industrial estates around it.

Thanks

.phil.

Phil keep in mind that there are some quite busy roundabouts at the back of the metrocentre that lead towards Scotswood bridge, and there are plenty of housing estates near by also for phase 1 stuff!

Re: Part 3 at Gateshead TC

I know Gateshead MPTC very well for PT3, most of my PT3 students go there.

The examiner will either be Steve Hill a very nice and friendly guy (just gave me another grade 6 last month  big_smile) or it could be Kevin (sorry forgot his surname) very new at PT3 tests but overall a nice guy but not as experienced as Steve.

Anyway road leading to Costco Mandela Way back of Metro Centre is used alot for Phase 1 PST 2,3 and 5,  PST 4 is normally off Ravensworth Road sweeping corner, PST 6 is all around dunston mainly uncontrolled, PST 7 mainly dunston near to Homeside Social Club, PST 8 is normally around the back of fed brewery (dont know why but it only has two emerges but remember test centre has 4 emerges just to get out on to main road). PST 9 is off Wellington Road LOOK OUT FOR ALOT OF UNMARKED BACK LANE CROSSROADs!!, PST 10 most roads suitable for all options and A1 north for the overtaking. Metro roundabouts used for Phase 2 PST 10 look out for filter lane, they love to stop and try to give way to the right lol.

Hope this helps  big_smile
