Total tosh!

The number of lessons required differs from pupil to pupil so a legal minimum number of lessons is ridiculous.  Why should anyone be forced to have a minimum number of lessons with an ADI?

Double the penalty points for a learner/novice driver?  WTF?  Where does this ludicrous idea come from?  I wonder if they found it on a scrap of toilet paper?  If penalty points are going to be in creed then. They should be increased for everyone!

have to understand the history of the republics roads Nigel, this is a big step for them............I know of people who have been taught by whoever(not ADIs) had a totally lucky day,passes test and went out the next week and wrote the car off.So atleast this way the proof is there of some Professional input.....

Doubling points for these drivers is no different in effect than having a 6 pt ceiling for them as we have.

What is different is applying them to  "some" offences, which by implication means "not all" offences.
