Starting again

Having failed Pt 3 for the 3rd time recently, I have decided that I will start again and carry on when my 2 years have expired. My 2 years are up on 14/1/10. When reapplying to the DSA, can I start the process of applying, CRB check etc, BEFORE this date so I can, for example, take Pt 1 on 15/1, or do I have to start the application process from the end of this 2 year period?
