I failed my test in wigston/leicester today , Depressed ,please need advice

Hi :

I've failed my automatic driving test today with one serious ,14 minors 2 minutes before we go back to the test centre.

feeling v.bad .... now I've booked my test again in Hinckley , Does any one know if its better than testing in wigston or not.

Any one knows a good instructor in Leicester area ... please .

I really need the licence before Sept. as I am due to start University course and I have to commute which is extremely difficult with school runs ....

erm may be you could have a search on here.

i'll have a look for you.

i'm sorry to hear that.

did your driving examiner go through your mistakes in the debrief, along with your ADI? has your ADI got an action plan of where to go from here?

good luck xxx smile

the only problem was a mini-roundabout , I went on after checking my right , without realising that a fast car was coming , so the examiner pressed on the brakes which is  fair enough.

he told me that I can drive but I am a little bit hesitant - 2 minors and brake harshly -2 minors.

discussed that with the instructor , promised to work on that !!!!!!!1

It was my first attempt , but I was really relaxed and laughing with the examiner , was really upset after the test as the only time slot available will be in Hinckly not Wigston , worse still I have to wait another 4 weeks....

Why do you need to change instructor?

Looking on the DSA web site, Wigston has a 41% pass rate and the other 2 Leicester test centres have 31% & 32% pass rates.  Wigston is only showing an extra weeks waiting time, so why not stick to Wigston?

I need a Sat. date , can't do Mon-Fri , and there was no dates available on sat. thats why I switched to Hinckley , which as well have a pass rate of 50%.

ah okay.

i feel a bit confused.

if you have a slot for when you think you might apply to take your test, and you know at which test centre you will take it....

what do you want?

please don't be offended by my comments, i'm just a little confused what you're looking for? another ADI? or advice for finding a test date?

have you spoken to your ADI about this?

Hi, I failed twice at Wigston, changed to Welford Road and passed there on Friday. There are not as many roundabouts on the Welford road routes, still a good few, but not as many as Wigston.  Just my luck though, I got the horrible Pork Pie island and did it ok. I think you will have difficulty in Leicester in finding another automatic instructor, they are few and far between so I would stick with the one you have got.  Give Welford Road centre a ring and see if they can help with a Saturday date.  Best of luck with your next test.
